MMA Scholarships

The mission of the Mechanicsburg Music Alliance has always been the same…to support the extra curricular music programs through fundraising and volunteerism. We realize that supporting these programs also means supporting the families involved in the programs. To do this, we are offering two scholarships to assist families with music-related costs.

Need-based scholarships:
As the name implies, these scholarships are based on financial need, among other factors.

The need-based online form can be found here.

Merit-based scholarships:
These scholarships are for families who feel that they may not qualify for a need-based scholarship, but would still like to apply for assistance based on their student’s contribution to the music programs.

The merit-based online form can be found here.

Terms and Conditions:
As a 501c3 organization, we are bound by IRS regulations on how we award the funds and on how the funds are used. The terms and conditions for the scholarship must be read and accepted before scholarships are awarded. They are included in the applications, but can also be found here:  2021 Approved scholarship terms and conditions.pdf

Application Deadlines:
Applications will be accepted during three (3) review periods per school year. These dates are determined yearly and are based on extra-curricular music program start dates. See Application Review Information Table below for the relevant dates for the 2021-22 school year.
