Why music education matters
Studies across the world have shown that music education holds many benefits — improved test scores, lower drop-out rates, and improved self-esteem. A Gallup Poll found that 95% of respondents believe music and the arts are part of a well-balanced education.
The MMA exists so that every student who wants to make music at Mechanicsburg can — through fundraising, volunteer coordination, and direct support for our programs and families.

Every year, NAMM (the National Association of Music Merchants) recognizes the best communities for music education across the US. Mechanicsburg has earned this award almost every year for the past five years.
